Default Spotted Meritime/Mexico Blue 964 in Oregon...

Eating lunch in West Salem Oregon and a Meritime or Mexico blue/ Tan 92 or newer 964 coupe drove by.

Anyone know who this is... The car looked spectacular and I would love to know more about it..... Own it.

Putting the Power of Rennlist to the test....

Hi Joe,

I think it was me - I just picked up a 1991 Maritime on tan C2 and did lunch in West Salem yesterday (thai beer, then shot down Edgewater). I just put cup 1's on it. If it WAS me, then you just made my day. Of course, now that I think of it, I did slow down a bit to gawk at a pristine Fly Yellow turbo - your's right?

As a side note, I had to double back a few months ago when I saw your tangerine car parked out by Appleby's near the parkway. Beautiful car and quite the history too, I ran into Barrett and talked with him about that car some time back.

Hi Shamus,

Now you're going to have to resist Joe's offers to buy your new car Joe wants all the Maritime Blue cars on the west coast, right Joe? Ask him about his.

Joe, I'm willing to take the 92 off your hands so you have room for Shamus's car....Let me know.

Congrats Shamus, how about some pics. Sounds like a great combo for a 964, and welcome!!!

Hey guys thanks for the kind words, and I know, I know - I've got a bunch of self-improvement to do (avatar, stable list, etc.) but I'm too busy driving the car or sitting in it and savoring the air-cooled aroma!

Here's some pics of the car, a 1991 C2, Maritime on Cashmere with blue piping, 5-speed. Only really notable option other than the piping is the rear designation delete so no Carrera script on the back.

I've been looking for the right Porsche for a long time and have always loved the rare blues from the German marques - Nogaro (Audi), Laguna (BMW) and Mexico blue also. This one became available and I had to buy it. From what I hear a C2 in Maritime is pretty rare and I love the color. Really different from sunlight to shade too.
