You have a hole in the belt inside the distributor ?

I think he means it split.

The rotor turns loosely in this one, and the belt is a little torn up inside.

I tried taking pics of the belt but camera wouldn't let me focus.

Think the distributor is still useable?

Sure. Just needs a new belt. They are about $10 US; and a bit of labor, of course.

Indy - Yeah it did, finally getting my new road tax tomorrow.

The car should be out soon and I'll post pix.

The interior is really beat up, will show pics in a few days.
