Default Uprated tranny mount?

are there any available?? looking at getting the wevo ss for the engine, just thought it would be nice to beef up the tranny too...

You can get a solid transmission mount. Much more noise than the stock.

if you have one solid mount, do they all have to be solid?? or could i run it with the wevo's up back?

where is this solid one available from?

As far as I am aware, while there are 2 engine mounts, there is only 1 transmission mount. I believe changing the transmission mount requires pulling the transmission. I am not sure where mine came from, likely Smart Racing or WEVO (it was sourced and installed by Jerry Woods Enterprises). Don't do this unless it's a track only car.

i take it its really loud then...

thinking about it, i think the mount is on part of the gearbox that forms the casing, so yes, maybe you do have to pull it out.

maybe i'll just do the rears for now!

I have a proper RS trans mount and Hayden's engine mount, great combo. You have to have the old trans buffer pressed out and the new one pressed in. I like the combo but the car will be louder.

You can buy the RS or the RSR trans mount. Stiffer but not solid. Have a look at http://www.carnewal-europe.com/main.htm

A friend of mine did it with the tranny in the car. not the best way maybe but doable!
