Default RS Front bumper

Hi guys,

Just a quick one. Will a 964RS plastic front bumper fit a standard 964 without modification? I know I'll have to drill holes for the head light jets.

Cheers TD.

Or I'll swap you my standard bumper with ducts and washer holes for your RS bumper?

What's the difference between the RS front and standard front? I know the rear, middle bumper section differs.

The RS bumper has the washer jet holes deleted. Since we spend a lot of time filling in unwanted holes in standard bumpers, it would seem to be a crime to drill the holes into a genuine RS part.

Is that the only difference? I was under the impression the 964 headlight washers was an option as my 93 doesn't have it, but my turbo does.

My 91 C4 didn't have washers either. And I've seen pics of Euro RS cars with washers. Weird.

Strega - I did see that one on ebay, looks like a good one. No, I bought mine off ebay 2 weeks ago. When I went to look at it, I didn't realise it was an RS (not advertised as such). Anyway, thanks for your help guys.

The washers depends on which market the car was built for, not if it was a RS or not. Some years ago all cars sold in Sweden had to have light washers. So all RS car built for the Swedish market has those washers.

S'funny, you must also have a special Porsche washer water in Sweden that does not freeze in sub-zero temperatures.

Yeah, you just mix the water 50/50 with the sam blue liquid we drink during the winter to keep us warm :-)
