Quite tempting... anyone own and/or used it? Would like to get some feedback on quaility and functionality. Also, any chance to also get the moving castor wheels discounted?
there are lots of pros and cons about any lift. i like this one because of its mobility. vs a 1000 lbs of steel. i am not trying to say one is better than the other just that it might fit ones needs because of its flexability.
springer 1625.00 delivered to your door. not 1620. but if 5 dollars is going to break the deal i put it in for you thanks i really would like to get it, you can store it away, take over a friends house and not have this big piece of steel laying in the middle of the garage.
Marc, you can use blocking between the lift and the lifting points to gain access. you can also use the lift sideways so the rails would be perpendicular to the car. Check out http://mysite.verizon.net/vze7aq8e/continued/id25.html
I have been in touch with this guy and he is very happy with the lift. There is also a PCA club racer in NJ who has one and is very satisfied.
For all you track junkies, you can take this with you to the track.
I recently purchased a Kwik lift to do a transmission job and although it worked, it will be up for sale by next week. Although it was cheaper, the ezcar lift looks to be a better all around lift.
I bought one of these to work on my 914 race car but discovered it worked on my 997 GT3 also.
You will have to get costom spacers for it ,
56.5" LOL,and yes it will fit under the car without any further modifications.Forget the castors as I dont think they will work.
The unit is well made and has no trouble supporting the car safely. Also buy four hockey pucks to place under the car's lift pads.
Your group buy in price is outstanding as I paid $2,000 a year ago.
For those of you who don't have a lift and want to perform basic repairs up off the ground this is the way to go.BTW I have no affiliation with the seller other then being a pretty satisfied customer.
