Hi,
I'm thinking about upgrading my back suspensions with a couple of special spring plates made by Weltmeister.

Anyone knows about these plates? Are they suitable for road use? Will they really improve precision and stability?
thanks a lot
Anto

Anto,
What's your suspension set up currently? This is an awful expensive upgrade if you are running stock suspension with stock mounts and springs. Your dollars might be better spent elsewhere. So where are you currently?

Ihave something similar on my car. Not Weltmeister so I cannot coment on them specifically. They allow separate camber and toe adjustments.

I believe I have the ERP plates (via Jerry Woods/Smart Racing). I would not think it would be worth it unless you have a problem getting the alignment settings you want/need. Just switching because they are different would be a waste of money. Going to full mono-***** in the suspension makes sense for a track only car, but not for a street car (less pleasant to ride in and more maintenance).

Elephant Racing (not "Elephant Racing Products") is Chuck Moreland here in San Jose. His suspension products are all pre-964 I believe.
Cary (ERP) does not really have much of a website yet but you can find most of his stuff at Smart Racing (Jerry Woods / Rich Walton), Rothsport (Jeff Gamroth), and other high-end 911 shops. Cary does not sell direct.
Chuck (Elephant Racing) has most of his wares at www.elephantracing.com and sells direct.
And yes, these are *pretty much* a waste of money on a street car.

Tom,
you spotted the matter! My car is not perfectly aligned on the left-rear wheel, so, to gain 3 missing miillimeters I have tho choices: 1-chassis realignment ; 2-ERP spring plates.... what would you do?
Marc,
thank you very much for the helpfull advice....
