I will be changing from Brad Penn 20w-50 to Joe Gibbs DT 50 with my next oil change, its a full synthetic 15w-50 with high ZPPD, made specifically for air cooled Porsches.

I tried the Joe Gibbs DT50 and my car ran hotter than on Brad Penn. I switched back because of that. It was awhile ago and I could have had other issues. Worth to know if anyone else has tried it and had similar experience.

When you say hotter, how much do you mean. I will not get my car on the road until early April, but will report back with my findings.

Unfortunately it was over a year ago and I cannot remember exactly. I just remember it was enough for me to switch back after a few hundred miles.
