^ about the strange people!!
Charlie, was that your car before (in all white)?? I'm also debating between a light wheel or the speedline look in white.

DrJupeman, thank you for posting the two photos. The white CUP Speedlines are perfect
Regarding the BBS wheels, those appear to be the lastest version with the aluminum centers rather than the early magnesium wheels. Are they 17" or 18" and do you know the wheel weights?

Yes, that was my car soon after I picked it up at the dock. I thought it looked great, but I was anxious to return it to its '93 Supercup appearance, which is how I run it now.

I'm having the same mental debate.
I've done quite a bit of searching and this what I've come up with:
For my color (Slate Gray), I don't think anything will look as good as the Speedlines. They are, however, costly. Sunset can still get them - at around $1100.00 per copy before shipping. That's genuine Speedline with a Porsche part number. These are the wheels for the 3.6 Turbo. I would do a lot more verification re. finish and offset before buying...
This is true. These are available in the US. A Google search will find three (I think..) importers here in the states. Cost for these is high as well. With the dollar taking a beating + shipping to the importer + shipping to me, they are higher than the Speedlines.
The RH 3.6 (Speedline copy) is the other option. They are now being sold through RUF in Dallas, at around $3300.00 a set. RH has taken a bit of a beating on this forum, but if RUF is selling them, that may aid in their reputation and/or ability to get warranty or replacement piece issues solved.
Used Speedlines come up, but there are risks with them being former track wheels / unclear history etc,
I think the RUF wheels are nice - just not as nice. They are just under $4K a set, I think.
I do not know how the weights of all these wheels compare - I couldn't find enough info. A pound or two doesn't make a huge difference on my street car.
If I lived in Europe, I'd get the Kerschers. But here, I think I'll end up getting new Speedlines, as much as I hate to spend that much - don't see an alternative making me as happy... YMMV
