Ha!

Thanks, guys. I'm pretty jazzed, though I am suffering a little bit from sticker shock. The car is having new suspension installed as we speak, so it can be lowered just a touch from its stock height, and the tires are on their way.

I ultimately bought the wheels at Sunset Porsche in Oregon. They certainly weren't cheap but I understand that the price I paid was pretty much the best I could get anywhere.

I'll post some pictures of the car when its done.

I am assuming these are going on the C4?
And yes Sunset is by far the lowest price for these. The dealerships are closer to $2k each. Although polished centers run about $1.2k more than the painted centers.

looking forward to the pics.

Hey Anthony:

Yes. The wheels are going on my 964. Its a really nice example with only 20K miles on it. Hopefully, it will look half as good as yours when its done.

I dealt with Nate at Sunset Porsche - a very nice guy.

If anyone is contemplating ordering a set of Speedlines from Sunset, I suggest you make haste. Nate tells me that the supply is very near to running out. Already they had to go searching for one of my rear wheels and ultimately had to go to Canada to get it.

Well, the car is back and I couldn't be happier.

Speedlines. These really are the best looking wheels for our cars.

FVD US is selling the "look-alike" Turbo 3.6 replica wheel sets for $2,300, including tires (!!). Has anyone bought them?

See the lower right corner of this webpage:

Do you know who makes these they are not the RH's and I have never seen this design before. Not enough bolts to be any of the known replicas. Also 3 piece look not a true 3 piece.

I can help with that. They are Keskin KT2s - made in Germany by Keskin (I believe the owners are Turkish). They have 32 "fake" bolts and weigh 13kg front and 15kg rear (Cup 1 are 9kg & 11kg by comparison).

Although they are TUV approved, in the past they have had some quality problems with the lacquer peeling off after only a few months.

The price of $2,300 (I believe) includes Keskin's own "Syron" branded tyres.

They do look good on 965s...

Thanks

But they are considerably heavier than speedlines. At least the RH' and other after market wheels are lighter.

The negative attributes of weight and quality makes the $2300 a poor buy. I would rather fork out or save up to pay for the real Speedlines, while they still have some left. RH's look good, but a polished set of Speedlines are simply gorgeous.
