"Period" 18" wheels for 964? What looks best?

The wheels on my 964 are starting to look ratty so my sights are set on some 18" beauties!
The real challenge is to keep the car looking somewhat "period correct" while still upgrading to 18" wheels that are strong and light weight. Many of the aftermarket alloys from the early '90s were heavy (think Ruf!) and I don't want boat anchors on my 2900lb sports car!
I know that 964s aren't collector cars but it is still important to me that the car looks correct. Imagine a nice '73 RS with BBS LM wheels or a '76 930 with 19" Champions ---- yuck! This is how I feel when I see a 964 with almost any wheel style that was introduced after circa 1998. Even 993 Turbo Twists look too "new" on a 964. If only someone made a forged 18" Cup 1 replica!
So far my top picks are Turbo 3.6 Speedline replicas or Fikse FM10s. I don't care about keeping the car factory-looking but it needs to look great and look correct for a '90s car.
Feedback?

Speedlines are never wrong on a 964, but BBS LM's are a strong and a less expensive second alternative. Maybe a little lighter than Speedlines. RE's lighter, yet.

BBS or the Speedlines.... I think you've pretty much narrowed it down to the two most popular and appropriate choices, given your criteria. To choose one comes down to personal taste... unless you can afford both!!
I love both and would also like as set of the Speedlines but rarity and cost will most likely see me go for a good quality 3pc copy. Good luck!

Thanks gents.
I don't have a source for genuine Speedlines so I would end up with a top notch replica set.
BBS LMs are very nice but not period-correct, IMO. Maybe on a late 993 or any 996> model but not on a 964.
The Fikses are the lightest of the bunch and from more or less the correct era.
Am I crazy for thinking a set of genuine 964 RS 17" Cup wheels could be sourced? They are probably NLA from Porsche and wickedly expensive to boot! IIRC, they were 17x7.5" and 9.5" forged magnesium?
At least everyone can agree that I am on the right track. My thought patern for visual upgrades on older cars goes like this "If it was still 1992, what would the hottest xxxxxxx (fill in the part type) be?"

I'm also debating between Speedline replicas like veloce 3.6 or go with light track wheels like CCW or TE37. Problem with the last 2 is that none have a rear lip.

Techart wheels made by OZ Racing also look good. Three piece 40 bolt 18" with an offset that does not hit the inner fender well. Are you a narrow body? Attached is a picture of a C2 Turbo with OZ Racing wheels. I have a set ready for assembly - not too late to pick widths as I have several different outer hoops available to make custom sizes. Jim

3.6 Speedlines would be my first choice but was too tight for comfort on my lowered 89C4. Ended up getting the first runs of LMs. I had a set of Fikse FM10s before and those wheels are nice too. But I wouldn't hesitate on a set of 964-era Ruf wheels in 18s, especially since they are NLA. GL with your decision. Attached a few pics.
