Why would it matter how the other owner says it? I say Porsche instead of Porscha

I guess I'm just trying to get a feel of what pronunciation everyone uses. I say porsch to the wife and porscha (phonetic spelling) to pcar guys. I guess if I was selling my car I'd want to use the correct terminology to express my true love and understanding of the car. Maybe to **** I know but I just want to get a feel of how serious of a pcar owner he is. May reflect in how he took care of his car.

Call it Mommy if it makes you squeel like a little girl when you pass 4K revs in 3rd gear. :O

It's sort of like Teva. Is it Teva or Teeva? I never knew until I saw a commercial. I always assume that they get it right there. And they pronounce it porsha (and teva).
But like Bullet Tooth Tony said in ******, "You can call me Susan if it makes you happy".

I'm with you on that, though I tend to rely very heavily on first impressions... Certainly, go look at the car, PPI, etc - but keep a close eye on everything as his comment certainly wouldn't give me the warm fuzzies...

Though I see the point of the Sirius satellite radio point, comparing a $500 product to a Porsche is a bit of a stretch This guy could have the mentality of "Do I service the car? Sure - I change the oil, wash it, and it is good to go!".... Tread carefully!

My $0.02,
-Blake

(My wife thinks I am an extremist about Porsches, so feel free to discount my comments!)

I was told by an old Porsche tech one time that you should always pronounce it correctly... Regardless. He was from Germany. He said the Germans pronounce the vowels on the end of their words. (Porscha) I have pronounced it that way since that day 20 years ago.
