We just bought one from Germany on Ebay. It arrived and looks great, but has no instructions (in any language). I can probably figure out what to do intuitively, except for the lighting. It has two wires: where do they go?

Out of curiosity, anybody know which illumination color would best match stock? I notice that they don't have an option for "rediculously weak yellowish orange"

Well, I emailed the very nice folks in Germany, and they sent me the following "English" instructions:

"Fitting Instruction

IC-T Innovativ Car Tech leather gear **** illuminated

Remove the original Gearknob.

Now put the ICT gearknob an the selector lever.

Place the IC-T gearknob, so that the logo on the top is legible in the derection of travel, and tighten the 3 setscrews using the Allen key supplied.

Connect the power supply cable ta a suitable point,
for example the light of the ashtray,

Red : positiv
Brown : mass, earth

When you turn on your light, the gearknob will shine."

These instructions worked perfectly, except that it was too far away to hook it up to a switch connected to the lights (we have no ashtray light, obviously), so we hooked it up to the nearest wires. The gearshift **** light (mine is a soft blue, very attractive and goes with the color of the car!) goes on whenever the ignition is on.

Here are a few photos. The feel is quite good, and it shifts beautifully. All for about $100 and maybe 1 hour labor.
