Default 964 wheel questions

I'm reading Adrian Streather's "Wheels and Tyres for the 964 series" and I'm wondering if someone can help me with a few questions.

Re Cup design 92 wheels:

Part # 965 362 128 00 9JX17 offset 55
965 362 128 10 9JX17 offset 55

Other than having a slightly different part #, how are these wheels different? On which model were they used originally?

Part # 965 362 126 00 8JX17 offset 52
965 362 126 01 8JX17 offset 52

Again, slightly different part #, how are these wheels different? I'm guessing these were "fronts". Is that correct? If so, on which model were they used originally?

Part # 965 362 128 05 9.5JX17 offset 68

What car was this wheel used on originally?

Many thanks

Part # 965 362 128 05 9.5JX17 offset 68
Originally used on 964 3.6 turbo and turbo look w/951.331.611.02 spacers

965 362 128 10 9JX17 offset 55 is the silver aluminum 964RS wheel

965 362 128 00 9JX17 offset 55 also silver, aluminum but from a 3.3 turbo or turbo look

My Cup Car wheels are 8X17 offset 52 in front, and 9.5X17 offset 68 in rear. I'm told by a knowledgeable Porsche mechanic that the 9.5X17 offset 68 wheel was onlky used on the Cup Cars and the rear of the 928 GTS.

I'm looking for a 9.5X17 offset 68.

check your PET

early cup cars did use them w/ the 21mm spacer and longer wheel studs, later Cups use 9.5x18 ET 47 w/o spacers or studs

Thanks Bob. My car came originally with the 965 362 124 00, 7JX17, 55mm offset as fronts. And no rears. So I'm trying to do a little due-diligence in my search for a set of rears.

965 362 126 00 8JX17 offset 52
965 362 126 01 8JX17 offset 52
both Cup Design 92 , 964 aluminum alloy, silver, rear wheels, but I believe that they can be used on the front as well w/ 225/tires

Thanks Bill. Very helpful.

If anyone out there in Rennlistworld has a set of 9X17s they want to clear out of the garage, please let me know.

A fellow rennlist member (and US Carrera Cup owner) has pretty much cornered the market on these
(No, he's not sharing.....no names, he knows who he is )

However, IIRC, Wheel Enhancement does have new ones still available.

Check my PET for what??? I'm not questioning you or your PET Bill, so relax and enjoy your PET.

Check what you are responding to. I am talking about standard equipment wheels on cars imported to the USA, as the USA Cups like Dave and mine were. What "later Cups with ET 47" were imported to the USA Bill??? BTW, the 928 GTS came into the USA with 9.5 X 17 ET 68s, as I'm sure your records show.

Dave, I'll help you off line. I have found 48 of the rear wheels we are looking for, and one full set of original , in Porsche boxes, USA Cup 8s and 9.5s.

Thanks for the response. Wheel Enhancement has none and can't get any as of yesterday. I have found one full set of Cup wheels and 48 rears for sale with my recent searching.

On my RSA, I put my rears 17X8 in front and ordered two 17X9 for the rears from tirerack. Exact replica and they suit my track purposes.

Why the acrid respose, I responded to the original ? about wheel part #s w/ some facts, unfortunately you chose to respond w/ hearsay which may or may not be true and further introduced the subject of Cup car wheels, which I also responded to w/ facts.

As you know the only Row Cups in this country were imported privately

sheesh
