Knock sensor
I saw this on another thread and didnt want to do a hijack so here it is.
I also am getting this error when I run scan tool and it keeps coming back. I run 93 octane gas and never hear any knocking. I would like to know where it is also and is it the same for a TIP.

Have you tried disconnecting/cleaning/reconnecting both your knock sensor connections? I got a CEL a while back (think it was on the 91) and the code was knock sensor and after I did that it has gone away never to return.

Green plugs.. do a search of the 964 Forum on knock sensor, pics must be here. Do you have adrian's 964 book, think they are there also. One is easy to get to, the other isn't.. think blower motor was what was in the way.

Install one. Most/all 964 DMEs have an output for the light with a wire to the bulb socket.

The other (green) connector is located behind the rear blower motor assembly on the left side of the engine.

You may be in limp home mode, and therefore have a conservative spark advance map. Fix the sensor problem, and you should notice a significant performance and fuel economy improvement.
