That doesn't sound right, but what do I know

Geoffrey, what gives, in one post you say no parking brake on these cars and then you say that little thing - which to me looks like a bias adjustment - is a parking brake?

Looks like a strange parking brake...with two lines running from it and a handle that appears to direct more flow to the front or rear.

The engine is a M64/01 engine which produces an advertised 300hp. I do not know how they got there and whether or not the internals are strictly M64/01 or not.

Charlie, I misspoke about it being a bias control The car has no traditional lever operated parking brake so you depress the brake pedal and pull up the valve. This keeps pressure to the rear brakes while the car is parked, essentially a parking brake. It is not a bias control as I earlier misstated, it was a long day.

The trans is a short geared trans from the 959 rally cars, so I'd imaging 120-130mph top speed. The wheels are indeed magnesium but I don't know the widths.

But that is what the 953 was for! They raided the parts bin from that project for these cars.

That sounds right. Clever those Germans, It could also be used for bootleg turns.

When I looked at the brakes, they appeared to be standard 964 fare.

Was the 953 not based on the 3.2 Carrera shell though ?

Love those headers!! Why didn't they use that on the Cups - or did they. Looks similar to what SCARGO sells for the 964. I wonder if they are 1 3/4" or 1 5/8".

Anyone know if the factory tweaked the internals on the motor to achieve 300hp? I'd love to know how they did it. Or maybe just Cup Chip and headers/exhaust?

Hey, is that a bolt in cage? In the 5th picture down, it looks like the front leg is bolted into a reinforcement plate on the sill???

The cage is a bolt in unit and the padding says Matter on it which I though was cool. I would guess that the engine is stock 3.6 but with headers and reprogrammed ECU would get them to 300hp.

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket knockoff of that cage? Looks like it fits like a glove. The other boltins Iv'e seen (mine included) leaves all kinds of gaps.
