Default RUF Primary Muffler replacement

Does anyone have any experiance with RUF products available in the states? Everyone seems to be doing FABSPEED but I found the RUF connecting pipe on http://www.rufautocentre.com/ and if I rememeber correctly, its less expensive than the FABSPEED pipe.

Any opinions?

I bought a Danske. It fit fine. The way I see it, a pipe's a pipe. They pop up on ebay very often for alot less than $369.

this is not a part where the brand matters. Find a cheap one and save your money for other mods!

I am comtemplating ordering a Danske primary by-pass. Advice and experience: What sound changes at idle, if any?

Thanks, from a relative newbie.....

I was happy that fitting it was no problem. But I ran it with the secondary bypass also. It was way too loud. I put the primary muffler back on. I've heard cars with the primary only bypass. They don't sound much differant than my car.

I agree with the others that a part like this wouldn't matter that much, so long as the materials and thickness etc. are the same. I'd ask Ruf what the thickness is and material. I can tell you that you can't go wrong with buying a Ruf Product though.

I bought the car with the secondary bypass in place. Can't really compare to stock but it rumbles, allthough it's not obnoxious.

Mark,

So your car runs just the secondary bypass now with the stock primary and it sounds good?

The secondary by pass is just a U shaped pipe of of the primary right?

Quiet, good for 8-900 mile days without discomfort. And you lose weight on the extremity.

Default Seldom mentioned

I've a cat and primary bypass. It's a little louder and the weight loss is a plus.
However, there is nothing like purring along at 85~95mph and hearing the stock exhaust transmit all the whrilling and purring of the valve train. I may be "odd man out" , but I miss it.

Yes, it's called a G pipe. The car gets loud at over 5000 rpm.

Save your money (and no this is not the voice of ING)

Read this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum/289100-dansk-primary-secondary-bypass-group-buy-interest.html
I ordered my Dansk and should get it tomorrow or the day after so I can't talk about fitment but so far email communications with Troy @ebsracing have been great.

Good Luck!

Go to this site. Exhaust video

username rennlist
password rennlist
Go to the ChrisM folder and watch the ChrisMexhaust video. It's a before and after when I installed my G pipe.
For even meaner sounding exhausts watch the "wake the neighbors" and
"Rufus" videos. Great stuff.
