Default Dansk Primary/Secondary bypass group buy interest ?

Have put much due diligence into primary and secondary bypass pieces for my '90 C2. Due primarily to FabSpeed's ludicrous pricing on such pieces. Their web presence does agreat job in generating my interest and an even better job of compelling my search for pricing rooted in reality. Admittedly fine quality, I've no interest in bending over for the wallet power-vac job they seek to impart.

As an alternative, EBS Racing, on Dansk product, is providing very compelling pricing; sub-$200 (each) on primary, secondary and ~ $140 on the 102mm polished tip. All pieces are stainless.

EBS indicates immediate availability. They are familiar with the set up and the ancillary clamps and gaskets if needed by those (including me) without the OE cat aft system. Euro pre-muffler, "cat" w/o insert is @ $445. I'm working on price for the Dansk sport cat.

Let me know if you'd like to "aggregated" for such a proposed 'en masse purchase.

I have no interest or connection whatsoever with EBS or Dansk. I do have an interested in rational pricing on legitimate parts.

Fabspeed quality is second to none. You get what you pay for and I have no problem with their prices---I think it's called free enterprise.

I have always found Dansk products to be extremely well made -OE quality- and they FIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess I should take a look and see what is on offer .

All the best

I am in on the primary bypass. I assume they will drop ship directly to each person's address. I can't imagine it will be cost-effective for you to ship from your place after paying for shipping from EBS.

Does their Euro premuffler "cat" have the fitting to install the oxygen sensor? I would be interested in that.

I would be interested in a cat "euro-premuffler" if it was offered at a good price.

I'm interested but I'm not sure which one is a better option (sound-wise).. Primary or secondary?? Probably both will be way too loud.
About the Euro pre-muffler.. is that the same as a Catalytic Converter aka CAT? If so why not just open the existing one and gut it out then re-solder it again... that is waaaaay cheaper... (I'm mean the one offered by Dansk is w/o insert)
Did I misunderstand something?

Good question that I wondered also. Has anyone done this?

I just finished putting on a pre-muffler and custom made primary bypass pipe....the sound is very nice! it would be usable on the street, but still fairly loud...not obnoxious loud, but very deep and throaty....I tried the combo with just the cat and the noise was more "piercing" and slightly obnoxious. I will be doing a DE on August 9th to try it out...If you can get a pre-muffler and bypass pipe sytems that fits well and fits the budget, that's the way to go.

Default Re: EBS group buy on Dansk:

The Dansk Euro Pre-Muffler is supposed to have recepticle (bung) for O2 sensor. I've pulled a Dansk catalog from here:

http://www.gprparts.com/brands/dansk/

Anyway, I'm not the definitive source; I've seen pix of the Dansk options for cat replacement, with the Euro Premuffler and the true sport cat. As I recall, both have the O2 sensor connection provision. Sorry, I wasn't really concerned about that as I wasn't going to make that particular purchase, at least now. I'll ping EBS and verify this info.

So, we've got:

Springer3 for Primary
deep_uv for Primary
Heirsh for Primary
TR6 for Euro Pre
jacob03 for Euro Pre
wysbert for Euro Pre

I'll run this by EBS and verify best/final for each with proviso that each of you pay/receive. This may subjagate the definition of "group buy" but I don't want to play banker/shipper. You all OK with that ?
