Hi Guys
I have Porsche 911 (964) on a 1990 3.6
I tried the heater out today on hot and seem to have good hot heat from the passenger side and cold on the drivers side?
Could anyone point me in the right direction please?
Cheers
Jeff

Not trying to pick a fight but.............................................
Can you explain the thinking behind testing the heater on the hottest day of the year

jasonAndreas explanation covers both problems. The servo is either stuck in wide open or closed position. Go to www.porsche964.co.uk and click on the "tech" section. Go to electrical and you will find an article about the servo. It's easy to remove and fix and that is the solution to no heat or to much heat.

LOL, i was just curious as i tested it a while ago and thought i was just dreaming, never gave it a thought that something might be broken on the trusty Porsche, so now i have to get my lazy *** down my garage and fix it.
Cheers guys for info, i almost got the car on the ramp and start ripping the heat exchanger off, luckely i looked to see the replies i have here.
I will let you know the outcome :-)

Finally got around to looking at the heater.
Exactly what you guys said, servo 2 had given up, so i stripped it down to find the circuit board that the spring sprocket runs on had a piece missing (must of corroded away) and everytime i wanted hot air it wouldnt move because the sprocket had moved over the burnt bit and stopped, so another servo needed.
Cheers guys
