I thought that too Christer, but htis could mean its just all in the solicitors a hands and paying off exisiting finance etc. this can take a day or two.

He's told me that the money should clear in the next few days - and basically that he has £20K spare after selling the flat. The fact that he said "the next few days" makes it sound pretty genuine.

If he doesn't call me by Thursday to say the money has cleared I'll give him a call.

Looking on the bright side (and I'm really trying to!) - I always considered selling the 964 and being really stupid and buying a 993TT. I guess I've taken the first step. Second step will be if I decide I can't live without a 911 after all. Third step will be deciding that spending £40-50K on an 8 year old car is sensible. We'll see if I get past step 1 in the future.
