Default OT : Selling on ebay is insulting!

The auction on my 964 ends today - in 3 hours. Several people watching it, but no bids so far.

But since it's the last day it seems the vultures are closing in. I've put it on at £12,995 (no reserve) - which in my opinion is a serious bargain for a RHD 964 - even a white one. I've had one message asking if I'll sell it for £11K - and once saying they've noticed it's the second time it's been for sale with no bidders so will I take an offer (I ended the auction half way though last time because I decided it made more sense to buy a car for my g/f before selling my second car).

I know that this is how these things work - but I really did feel a bit insulted! It's a good car and is about £2K less than I think it's worth - I'll chuck it off a cliff before I sell it to someone for £11K!

Happily, I don't actually need to sell it so if the worse comes to the worse it will simply go on again - and if I need to wait until spring I'll put the price up!

Dave, where is the link to your 911/964 ? I had no idea you panicked... Spring is coming, always the same... The flowers come up as well as the check books...Spring Fever!!..BUY!. BUY!. BUY!...
I would love to watch, that would be a first for me...
I’m an eBay virgin...
Good luck, it could be your day,
Marc.

Looks like you got a bidder, I hoep this helps with making the others come out of the woodwork for you.

£13k is a cheap car, and I'm quite getting to like the white ones!

Keep us posted if the buyer comes through for you, I'm interested to hear how the final deal goes down when teh byer turns up etc

Fingers crossed for you Dave

I Hope you don't mind me saying so, but I couldn't find it in the 964 section....why didn't you put it there?

Sorry Marc, stepped out for a min - glad you found it

Kevin, thats a good point. If you search for a porsche 964 it doesn't show!

JohnO,..
What actually happens next, do we just continue to re-fresh, watch and hope that Dave sells at a good fair price? When does the fighting begin, or have I played too many "FPS" PC games ... Maybe I’m expecting too much... This is my First Time...
Does this eBay selling often come up at RN.com... Really good forum!!..

Yes, just refresh or wait until the sale has been done and then view the bidders to see who bid what and when

Ah - I'm in the wro ng section am I? Not very clever. Never mind - there are 10 people watching so I'll see if they bid as it closes.
