91 964 Cup
Hi,
I can buy a original German 91 964 Cup formerly driven by Mr. Bovensiepen.
It has been registered first in 96 and has FIA documents.
It has been complete rebuild in 1998 and a engine revision in 2003.
New clutch, 310 real hp and 1090kg.
A 3.8ltr Wing with Winglets and 8 + 9,5 Speedlines.
Will this car be a lot of fun at the track?
I now have a 993tt and want to go to the 996gt2.
But this 964 cup could be a better track alternative.
What do you think?

Wow you got way too much disposable income
and buy it if you can afford it and enjoy it as much as possible.
Just post pics and experince so I can enjoy it second hand!! LOL
Hallo, probably loads of fun to be expected
. To give you an idea about the eventual asking price, a similar car is on sale here, a 92 with 30.000 kms for 40k Euro.

Hmmmmmm, Cup Car with a rear windscreen wiper ????? I smell a rat .......
Thanx for all the information.
Price is around 50k euros and it is an original Cup Car with all the lightweight parts.
It is about 900lbs lighter than my 993tt, so yes it will be way faster around the track.
The car is in perfect condition.
I would miss the torque on the autobahn though...
The GT2 would be a Club Sport. It is twice the price and will loose a good part of its value once the 997tt and 997gt2 come out.
The 964 Cup will not loose any value I guess.

Compared to a stock suspensioned 996GT2, yes the 964 cup would turn much faster lap times. If the 996GT2 had a full blown track suspension, it would eat the 964 cup for an afternoon snack and still have room for dinner.

Kris there is a BIG difference between a 964 Carrera RS Touring version and a 964 Cup Car.
I have to admit that I have never seen a Tourer with a rear window wiper and sunroof. If memory serves me correctly they were not sold in Germany either.
The 1991 Cup shown at the beginning of this thread is well worth the money and I would love to have such a car. I wouldn't track it though until it was eligible for genuine historic racing.
Ciao,
Adrian.
