I have seen some cobalt Porsche's in pristine condition sell for as much as 35% more than a comparable car in black or other common colors all things being equal. Interior color plays part in that as well but there are no guarantees you will see a premium.
Deviated interior colors as well as not so common exterior colors (Cobalt being one of them) or PTS will always command a premium. My C4 has deviated interior and as a result I probably paid a bit more than the average with classic black or seal grey color.
Considering 2 cars were of the same condition/mileage/specs.......what kind of premium does Slate Grey Metallic and Cobalt Blue command over a Black?
Special colors are bringing a pretty huge premium. and the % premium increases based on the condition of the cars that being compared. 35% sounds reasonable for cobalt. That said, do you know of a cobalt car available right now? :P
Thanks guys... didn’t know the premium was that much. I’m currently searching for a C2. Haven’t found a cobalt yet. Saw a few last year but wasn’t in the market.
My Porsche arrived in LA via Montway. Car exactly as described. Drives well, sounds great, paint is driver quality with a few signs of overspray. No rust. Carpet decent, but could use to be replaced. Leather nice except for some wear on driver bolster. Since the car is 120k miles and could use some paint I'm considering a respray in non-original color. Always have loved the liquid silver metallic that was a $64,000 option on the 918. And with some silver LM wheels that I have a line on, might be the ticket.
I specifically hang on tight to my 964 due to the color combination: Slate grey over blue. Have yet to see seen one like it.
Hey Italian, would you share a pic of your 964 Blue interior? Never seen one with that color combo. I spent 4.5 years looking for my Silver/Velvet Red color combo and this car is not seeing a bill of sale anytime soon..

I just got what was available in the price range C2 black on black. I will be trying to lighten the interior a bit by using some grey alcantara on the dash/door tops and rear shelf.
What’s going on with the 964 targa prices? I have one and searched to see what they are selling for. On the intrnet I found exactly one 964 targa for sale, a 1990 with 60k miles and rebuilt engine and suspension. Asking $85k. That’s it. Just an anomaly or are they getting hard to find? I didn’t search all day, just the better known sites like autotrader.

RPM has a red lower miler but there’s no pricing. I have heard that the Targa on Autotrader has some mild rust issues but I haven’t seen the PPI to confirm what the issue was.
With so few manufactured and likely many already destroyed they just don’t come up for sale. If you’re thinking of selling I know a couple of people who might be interested.
