Thanks, appreciate the insight. That’s a bit higher than I was thinking myself, so wouldn’t mind that range at all if that’s what it came down to.

Does anyone have any insight into the hit taken by selling a 964 located in Canada, into the US market?

36K mile GR RSA, looks like it’s had a front end repaint based on paint meter readings. Not an issue by itself but limited pics in the front trunk. I would want to see detailed pics of the tub area especially the inner wheel houses. Maybe I am channeling my inner @Cobalt (I have learned a great deal about my own RSA through Anthony’s enlightenment) but pics 151 and 152 tweaked my interest. Pic 151 has the factory under seal but pic 152 appears not to have factory under seal where the inner wheel house meets the strut tower (pic quality, it doesn’t seem so?). I would definitely want some more clarification on this before bidding. Lastly more speculation but it’s missing the rear storage boxes, why remove? Maybe to install a cage? I am not saying this car is under represented but a lot of RSA’s were used as intended but now a days no one wants to hear about “track time” on a RS which is sad.

If you want more info on this car. It belonged to a late dear friend of mine. He purchased the very first 911 in the US in 65 later selling it for this RSA. He was one of the people that got PCNA to offer the RSA after trying to get an RS imported. It was his dream and passion. He loved the car and took great care of it. I don't think anyone could pilot a 964 better. It is not all original and has had its bumps and bruises. There is a portrait of it at PCA national headquarters with him staring up at it imposed in a photo of him driving the car on track. He was an amazing man. A fighter pilot instructor at Top Gun Miramar a valuable asset and employee of Bell labs and the inventor of DE over 51 years ago. Helped facilitate Club racing as PCA national president. That isn't even 1/64th of the list of his accomplishments. To me this car holds a sweet spot as I have met very few people who impress me as much as he did. RIP Dennis.

As I said the car is not all original and I have some of its original parts but if I could I would buy it for sentimental reasons. The rear parcel shelf was removed for weight and. When we were clearing out his house they were tossing it in the dumpster so I grabbed it but foolishly sold it to give him the proceeds. Today you can't buy them back then I could barely sell it. I have the original register covers still but will be keeping those.

BTW If I offended anyone regarding the red turbo I apologize. I was having a bad week but if you know the history of that car when the seller first received it you would understand why I was pushing for more clarification.

1990 964 Targa for sale in Vancouver Canada CAD$145,900.

This is a crazy price IMHO.

https://www.weissach.com/used/Porsch...ae0f8965b8.htm

They also have a 1994 993 for CAD$109,900 which seem more reasonable.

https://www.weissach.com/used/Porsch...5d261349e7.htm

Finally a 1988 Carrara for CAD$162,995 at a different Porsche dealer. Wow.

Man if he gets $145,900 Canadian for his MY90 Targa with 155,000 kms on it, I wonder what my MY92 C4 Coupe with 25,000 miles would fetch? (also in Canada)
I agree. Its a crazy price. I will be watching this one.

I think Vancouver is a bit outside the norm. There is crazy money floating around here.

Was just talking to someone who lives in Coal Harbour (where condos can go for over $2,000 / sq ft without a view) and he was telling me how he looks out at the same yachts everyday and they wont get used for a whole year.

Thanks for that info. I guess a drive to Vancouver is in order when it comes time to sell mine. Being on the East coast that's a long drive, but very scenic in places.

Oh my - pretty much perfection there. Cars seem to fall to the collection only side or the driver side, lately.

Edit: I take that back. Some oddities on this car. Some corrosion - some of the rubbers are showing some shrinkage.. Do the lights get yellowed out like that for just time - or was this sitting outside for a while? Need the eagle eye @cobalt

With the last RSA selling for $180K+ this will no doubt attract some RSA lovers out to bid big. It would appear that irrespective of the craziness in this world examples like this have no ceiling. No matter what model.

Model off topic but I think this is relevant, A year ago these were chopped liver like the 964 once was.
My jaw dropped when I saw this. This is probably the most desirable 928GTS out there but holly cow. We seem to be seeing a similar rise the air-cooled market saw with these water pumpers. The right cars bring the big $$.

That doesn't look like 10k miles to me and 8 pictures of the RSD but none of the undercarriage?
