Picked this up from a friend last night. Part of the America GS CF bits. Unfortunately for a tip although might modify it to work on my track car. It is some of the nicest quality CF I have seen. I can only imagine what the cost was to make this from scratch with all the modifications from original.

is this an original part of the America GS?
If yes, I still don't get it, why would Robert dismantle that particular car. Firstly it should be worth a huge amount of money then secondly all his mods could be done to a pretty standard 964, no?
But yes, it's a pretty incredible part given that production date must have been around 1994.

I don't disagree and I can't explain Bob's actions and he has no need to.

Ok!
Of course he has no need to explain any of it But for me he stays the 964 honeybadger, you have the rarest of them all and you work on it instead of others. On the other hand IIRC he once wrote a lot of mods are reversable.

What does it matter especially if the improvements are reversible. He was able to reduce the weight considerably without chopping up a car, adding CF panels, reducing options or stripping out interiors as most do. The car in person makes a statement by itself and when you see all the CF bits and get to know Bob it makes more sense. It is much easier to reduce the weight by cutting away steel, instead he is attacking the functional vs cosmetic bits to save weight. I only wish some of these parts were made available to purchase.

For those looking for the stripes in different colors, any of the custom stripe/wrap shops can do it for a few bucks more.
