Don't get me wrong - I'm a huge car fan and have owned Lotus before and lusted for most of my life after Aston Martin, it is just now that having become hooked on Porsche heroin nothing else works for me (and that includes, somewhat sadly, new Porsches with their somewhat cheaper and mass produced attributes). My 964 puts a smile on my face and makes me happy and that is worth a lot to me.
...now if only Joey had posted his G-Tech times showing that the cup bypass I recently installed slowed my car at the low-end (which is where I want grunt) I'd be even happier <img border="0" alt="[bigbye]" title="" src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[bigbye]" title="" src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana,Tahoma,Helvetica">I must admit that the DB9 looks amazing and is aimed at the 911 market. Cayenne. It isn't a Porsche, is it? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> LOL. Seriously, I like the G35 Coupe and the 350Z but would probably get a used NSX.

OK, I redact the thought of wanting an Audi TT! The more I think of it though, I can't think of another car that I'd rather have - apart from the obvious day-dream cars like the McLaren F-1 or perhaps a nice Saleen!
The idea of having a "completely" re-built 964 with all new parts is appealing!

Actually - I must come out of the closet and admit I have secret cravings for a SMART Roadster.
Before you laugh, think about it....you could drive everywhere on the absolute limit and stand a fair chance of keeping your licence for more than a week.

I've not driven the roadster, but the 'standard' smart is a hoot to drive. It has amazing traction control etc so you can just floor it round a roundabout and NOTHING you do will make it spin!

Hahahahahahahahardeeharharhar, leave it to Erick to enter the "Smokey and the Bandit" entry!
Cool...just cool.
That Lotus "Exige" gets me EXCITED!! <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" />
...that is one seriously viscious-looking car - WOW!
As for the TVR...wasn't one of those in Swordfish?? ...the John Travolta movie where Halli Barrey shows her "ta-tas"??
I was wondering what the hell that car was...the mono-chromatic (color-changing) paint job was the cue that led me to believe that's what it was. If you remember, the "rocket" he was driving was a multi-purple/blue??

You guys are making me sick. Most of the cars you lust over are not available in the USA. Jeez, the GT3 was just announced here and we still haven't seen one
I would love a Lotus Exige, Ferrari 360 Stradale or BMW M3 Lightweight with SMG...never to be seen here in USA though. <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" />

Money no object:
360 Modena
Murcielago
996 GT2
Money is a minor problem:
Audi RS6
Latest generation M3 (with blowing up engine)
Money is a big problem (ie: reality):
Skyline GTR
Supercharged Miata (blown engine as opposed to blowing up engine of above)
Latest Mini Cooper S

Ok I will put in my list.
WRX STI, just landed in the states 300hp 300ft/LB torque. I have a WRX and the extra "stuff" on the STI would make it very fun.
E36 M3 not as raw as the porsche but I always liked.
Acura NSX titanium rods, aluminum body, honda reliabilty (always liked but my sports cars must be porsches or I would get one)
John
91 911 C2
78 911 SC
72 911 T
86 944 turbo
02 WRX
02 VW GTI 1.8T
88 Mazda 323 GTX

I like a few different corvettes... the 1982 models are available for cheap and they look very cool, but I heard they don't have tight suspensions like Porsches. I also like the stingrays from the 60's. Also, the new Z06 looks like a good value for the money.
The Lancer Evo seems like it might be a good cheap car to pick up as a daily driver (when used ones are available)... although to be realistic I would probably go with a BMW M3 at the end of the day. A used M3 has a combination of performance, luxury, practicality, and price that I have not seen anywhere else.
