Johnny, yes it was hard to admit ownership of a Primera. It was bought cheap from the inlaws and has served its purpose.

Of course, it must be just as hard for you to come out about your yearning for a TVRs.

I've been told that the best cure for such unhealthy thoughts is to own a TVR for a year. Driving (sorry, owning ? they don't work) a glorified kit car for that long should be long enough to put you back ontrack.

Cheers

Like Phil I can't really think of any car that could replace the 964 and it certainly wouldn't be anything like an "update" to one of those dreadful looking 996's or anything.

In addition to the 964 though is a different story. How about

Aston Martin DBS late model
TVR Chimaera or Tuscan
Alfa Romeo SZ - "the flying brick" most purposeful looking brick I've ever seen
72 Corvette LT1
Shelby Mustang
etc etc etc

Good Friday thread I think

Cheers

Mark

Can't imagine many people get onto the 911 ladder and then get off!

Perhaps after 996TT/GT2/3 an Enzo could be in order?!

Hum.... Tough one!!!

Maybe a Jaguar "E"-Type series 1.
or a nice Caterham.

But I don't want to part with my 964 don't tell my girlfriend, but I'm really found of this car.

how about a vw-porsche would that count ? ok i know just a joke.. ive always thought 914's were cool.

how about a ghia with a suped up engine? thats close in a way.. but still that would be a step back.

honestly, with the same money invested probably an e30 bmw 325i modded, or small british roadster (never fan of british cars really, but some of the little roadsters look like they would be a blast to drive!)

I'd go for a Lotus Exige!

Too bad you can't get one in the US
...Why do such cool cars come from a place with such lousy weather?

Seriously, though, I thought Lotus was now back in the US?

This Press Release says the MY2005 Elise will be available in the US in mid 2004. If I find myself with money leaking out my @$$ in 2004, I'll get one!
The Exige is available for sale, but not "certified" for road use - track only.

Great looking car, Rob. Always loved these, much more fun than the newer M3s. I'd be tempted myself but would be a shame to pile the kids into it...
