With 409 North American cars and dozens wrecked or exported the pickings are getting slim with great cars being sold word of mouth. I just bought 2 that never hit the market and had to fight for them. Again color plays a role in price with about 50 black cars, 35 white, half a dozen in yellow and silver and a hand full of paint to sample cars, the remaining are ALL RED cars. So the short answer is, the Speedster in some cased is twice the market value of a similar RSA particulary in silver, white, blue, or yellow.
I second this statement. I have been contacted about a dozen times in the past two years from Europeans looking for '89 and '94 Speedsters for export. Most are willing to pay $70-90k US site unseen...

Purported to be one of the rare few from the factory:

I think 964 speedster widebodies are very beautiful too indeed.
A pitty Porsche didn't build them directly at that time themselves. Or at least not directly from the 'regular' Speedster production line (a few were adjusted to become a widebody at Porsche I have read at some places, right?)

What is the current estimation of total value (dollars/euro's) of parts(not labour) needed to adjust a regular Convertible to a Speedster widebody.

parts:
speedster windscreen
windscreen frame
sun portecting things at windscreen.
doors ( if nowhere to be found, you can adjust regular ones to Speedster specification I believe)
RS doorcards (easily self made)
wheel arches steel (aftermarket?)
narrow body supension to turbo suspension (due to wider body need the other mounting points right)
964 turbo bumper/skirts kit (aftermarket?)
speedster side windows
convertible top for speedster (adjust fron regular convertible?)
speedster plastic part to put roof under (these are made aftermarket)
framework under plastic part to put roof under (custom made?)
2 recaro chairs
(cup mirrors if not already on car)
paint
tons of little things

I estimate you should budget about 20K $ in parts??

"I estimate you should budget about 20K $ in parts??"

That budget might get you the parts that you can see - then there's the steelwork that's different:- 'A' posts, screen cowl/wiper scuttle, rear bulkhead, inner rear arch panels
The rubber seals around the doors, windows, screen base and clam-shell - there's another £1K

The list goes on - believe me!

Guess the creator of this one agreed ^^ & had buyer's remorse about his '89 Speedster?

Though similar on the outside to the above black 964 Wide Turbo-Look Speedster, the below black was born as an '89 WTL Speedster, then turned 964-style!

Instead of converting an '89 to a 964 WTL, here's a rare opportunity to buy a wide-body 964 Speedster
Currently for sale on stuttCars.com's "911 964 Speedster Turbo-look" listing by Belgium's retailer, Garhmer:
