What does it take to install it on the standard 964 decklid?

a lot on metal work. The opening of a 964 decklid is bigger than the standard G series decklid. I wouldnt recommend it.

Unless I'm missing the question I'd say it's easy especially if you have it laser cut and bent - I have installed a few on my 90 and 91 - simple L brackets and some nuts/spacers/rivnuts worked fine if the parts we like mine made for G series .. I can see if I have a set or can replicate but really no engineering/alu welding needed.

I am making an alternative tho which I call the baby duck - it gives you a singer style tail at rest but an 73RS height wing when extended - clips onto the existing boot lid. Not everyone will like it .. but then some people like Brussel Sprouts.

Here

Looking to buy/source the following items if anyone still has them lying around from upgrading their exhaust or running a secondary muffler bypass:

1. three (3) exhaust sealing rings (964.111.247.01)
2. three (3) exhaust clamps (964.111.336.00) and the bolts that go through the clamp
3. Secondary muffler bracket (964.111.113.04) spacer sleeves (964.111.213.02) and hardware

Thanks,
Jon

Jon,

The affordable dansk rings work very well, and Belmetric has the bolts for a couple bucks. I'd recommend adding 5-10mm to the length of the bolt to ease in installation.

These are the brackets you will need I made these out of some left over aluminum angle I had, some spacers and hardware. Cost all in was under $9 and about an hours time with a hacksaw, grinder and drill. The later 91- cars came with the holes predrilled for the hardware. You will need to drill these on the earlier cars like I did here. If you try to mount it to the standard lid it will be a lot more work and metal fabrication. IMO easier to source a G-body lid and paint.

Rennline made the following hinges. I hoping to try these as well since the PO's body shop couldn't get one side to sit flush on my ducktail. There is a video in the link which demonstrates how it works. Hope this helps
