If it's a rubber piece, remove it, clean it up, and use superglue to fix the tear. After it's all patched up, soak it in rubbing alcohol and wintergreen essential oil for several days to restore its pliability.

 

Wish that was an option on mine. Mine has a big hole on one side, not just a tear. Don't think I can glue that. Sucks, can't drive my car until I get a replacement.
