i’m currently in the process of upgrading brakes on my 89 C4 to Big Red set up. 993 TT front calipers and 993 c2 rear calipers. Does anyone know if i should run 964 steel braided brake lines or 993 steel braided brake lines?

Why go steel braided vs OEM rubber? Many discussions on braided failures and no benefits over OEM - just wondering....

 

BOTH choices have a failure point. One looks nicer than the other. I prefer the steel
braided look.

 

what size are those rotors? love the silver

 

i dont remember the size off hand, all i remember is these are oem 965 turbo front rotors, the rears are a 951 part # rear rotors.

 

When I did the same conversion I used Rennline 964/993 Front Brake lines (part CS10) and 964 Rear Brake lines (Part CS13)

 

@titleistaddict87 the 965 front rotors are 322mmx32mm.

 

Oh, also, since I know you have a lot of wheels - depending on placement, wheel weights can hit the 993TT caliper on a 17" rim.
Spin the wheel and make sure everything clears after putting it on unless you want an awful noise and a scratched caliper.
