Lots of eye candy!
I've never seen a leather wrapped oil filter, or gas cap?!

That leather cover for the oil filter has now replaced a fully leather wrapped hand stitched cupholder on a Defender 110 as the pinnacle of pointless upholstery.

I agree. The beauty of an air-cooled Porsche is kinda performance without pretension. This is exactly the opposite of that. I never really loved the Singer (and others) style of quilted leather in the engine compartment but this is the ultimate expression of "I want to spend money, give me more ways to spend it."

While I can appreciate the off road upgrades and the interior upgrades I can’t wrap my head around how the two belong in the same car. When I think off road I think mud, dirt, sand and water all of which would completely destroy that stunning interior.

I do not understand why the rally wheels are not tartan upholstered. Seems very odd and un-bespoke. I would have expected ITBs on the windshield washer filler too.
The fact that this leather wrappery is conducted in service of Safari ideals reminds one of bills with names like Preserve Our Lands which are ploys to the opposite.
Have I waded into enough minefields here? Okay stepping away...
nicely done photos tho!
