Excellent! Are you involved in the work at all, or are you the project manager? I helped in all aspects of my build, from foundations up to roofing with slate. I’ve always been happy to be involved as far as possible. It’s the only way! Cheers.

Drainage done and back filled. Waiting for the roof trusses, so the builder was redirected to build compost bins!

Waiting for cladding. So builder moved onto lowering the main house driveway to meet the sunken garage. The 964 will need a relatively low approach. Aesthetics with a new wall been built to meet the lowered driveway.

Custom rafters arrived. Snow bearing. It should move along now with the cladding sourced and doors under construction off-site. Planning the paint to do the livery for the garage concrete floor.

Spokes, you must be on South Island, up in the Alps then, if you need snow bearing rafters. Am I right?

Testing colour palettes for the garage floor. While there is a offical Gulf livery, there were many variations on race cars...

Lean-to glass house framed up, & bracing ply on. Internal view of lift recess and space.

Weekly update. Bracing all done, including roof bracing. Waiting for the exterior cladding, insulation, and doors now. Meanwhile, the task of lowering the main driveway is underway to allow the Porsche to enter and exit the new garage including a relatively flat park area outside.

Weekly update. Still waiting for the final cladding and doors to arrive. Building wrapped. The main work this weeks has been to realign and lower the main driveway. It was always a worry with the garage dug into the ground 900cm. However, the boys have re-graded the driveway, and I will have a relatively flat entry into the new garage for the Porsche, plus a flat pad outside. Note the leaves are turning, winter is coming....
