I have been waiting for some warmer weather to finish off the garage, namely the temperature above 10c to paint the floor and install the decals. Well spring is here, and the painter came to do the 1st of 3 coats. More to come.
Looks fantastic. What kind of paint are you using?
The painter is using a 2 part epoxy paint which is an enduring finish. It is lot more expensive than an acrylic and it is more difficult to apply. Each coat should be completed in one session for consistency as the tint is specific to each mix. The final Gulf decals will hopefully be done next week.
Love a bit of two-pack epoxy resin. On a used ripple concrete floor I had to apply two coats of dust sealer before any base could be applied. Patience and prep paid off and worth every penny spent imho.
I have to give credit to my wife, she did the research on the Gulf palette. There are of course many colour variations. Also ‘964’ is three digits, so a oval surround is required to balance the enclosure.
