Wow Covid really did screw up so much momentum. I also had multiple projects going on at once. The Slick top project taking up a lot of time.

So I am not sure how it happened but the engine is in the car. Finally only 5 years in the making but projected startup is Feb 28th.

The plumbing associated with this build has gone over the top. Some say it looks like a nuclear submarine LOL.

The engine is finally back in and much more to follow but for now here you go.

MCS don't droop too much when on the lift.

I think Tony Montana was involved. No turret but a flame thrower I suspect.

Custom I/C will allow access to everything and all designed for easy engine removal. The I/C will actually keep the intakes from blowing apart under full boost.

Expansion tank for the coolant (water wetter) used to cool the turbos. The Tip trans radiator I installed will be used to cool the water. The pump is mounted to the floor boards. I couldn't handle the lack of power steering with such a wide front end and huge front rubber so electric power steering installed.

My need to push the turbos up high and keep the exhaust from hanging low in case of turtles but I had to go with individual coils instead of coil packs. Heat shields are needed as well to keep things from getting toasty.

Using a GT3 Throttle to have the flow we need so the car will be DBW but I am trying to give it as much of a cable feel as possible so it is cable up until the controller seen here.

Every bit custom made and still much more to install and make. 996 drip tanks but they had to be cut and modified to work with the Borg warner turbos.

Lots more to come soon hopefully we will stay on track as the season is quickly approaching.

I don't think I will have the **** Box engine done soon so this will be the only track car for my wife and me this year.

I have no doubt we will hear the turbos spooling and it will be loud but the turbos act like mufflers by themselves. I will be in touch. I have been going through a bunch of health stuff but we need to get together soon. I do have an X pipe designed exhaust that will be after she is up and running for tracks with DB requirements. It will cut back the power but I want to be able to dive all the local east coast tracks this season.🤞

It was done a year or so back. I tacked everything in place and had John from Apex Autowerks by me do the final welding. It is not the prettiest but will do what is needed. Ideally I would build a jig but time is always a factor. The Stainless walks so it was done one section at a time straightened and then onto the next. If it works properly we have other plans to go further. For now I just want it to run it has been far too many years and I am down 2 track cars. The oil return lines are my madness. I don't want oil feeding back into the turbos.

I wanted to get everything Hot Jet coated but that is also not in the time table. Maybe after some driving I will revisit it and an X pipe exhaust for tracks with sound concerns.

I am getting very excited. Coolant system for the turbos is completed. System was pressurized and pump tested. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Ignore the Light wiring but this is a tip trans cooler mounted to my secondary oil cooler. The fan will be activated with the oil cooler fan through the ECU. With an override switch on the dash.

The silver tank is for expansion and the pump for the coolant is mounted to the floor with a 3D printed bracket.

Some interference of the primary oil return line with the exhaust and turbo oil returns lines need addressing. Looks like the line will need to be cut and shortened by an inch or so. Surprisingly the pipes are spot on when the bumper is installed. Several areas need to have heat shielding done. Next is the turbo intakes. I am trying to keep the car looking stockish but I am considering drilling the tub with NACA ducts in the rear quarter windows.

Thoughts On NACA ducts vs stock looking?

So I keep saying next week but we are getting closer. The wiring is another royal PITA. The harness is taking time and nearly complete. So far 25 wires and another band of 32 will be on top of this then wrapped and sealed in a casing so it will be completely flexible.

Many man hours goes into this stuff.

it is the wires from vise to vise.

25 wires with another layer to go.

Wiring is so therapeutic, in a maddening way.
