Default Baby pictures...

Here's my new baby. Not the best picture, but I'm sure there are more to come. She's an 89 C4 with 54k. Owned her for three weeks, and already I'm in love. The best part is... my girlfriend likes her almost as much as I do. What a relief!

Looks awesome! You should pop down the front valance trim so it doesn't look sad.

When someone hits a parking curb the lower plastic grille will pop out, resulting in your two lower vents looking "sad" because they now slant upwards.

Sweet car! It's an offroad machine!

Nice ride. Glad the girl friend likes the car. My wife still does not like my 964, and she won't drive it at all. The "stock" 964 has the has the sweetest lines of all production Porsches.

Garrett - would you please explain further what your talking about in reference to the grill. Mine is also that way, has been for a long time, and almost every 964 owner I know has the same problem.

See www.porsche964.co.uk >technical section for a 'how to' make your car smile as much as you are doing right now!

Garrett,
Thanks for the tip! That'll be project number one this weekend! I didn't even realize she was sad until you said something. Maybe I just wasn't listening...

P.S. You're right, David. The 89s are taking over.

Brian: Semper Fi (I'm assuming). I did TBS & IOC (codes you non-jar heads won't get) in 1986. Got out after the 1st Gulf War in 1991. I couldn't afford a p-car on 2nd louie pay. Your car looks great.

Arjan,
I had just washed and waxed the car with Zymol the day before. I guess the terrible light conditions make it look less shiny than it normally does. Believe me, every Saturday since I've gotten it has been wash and detail day. It's a good chance to relax after a long week. I'll take some pics once I get her washed and straightened.

delhi,
The PO was a businessman. He owns some sort of realty company in PA. By the way, I know that military officers don't exactly make a lot of money, but a teacher with a Porsche? That's awesome...

Oorah, Claude!
At first I thought you just recognized lovely LZ6 and accomodating O'Bannon Hall from the picture. I didn't remember that I had put my location as "Quantico, VA". That pretty much narrows down what I'm doing there, eh? I probably couldn't really afford a p-car on my pay, but I eat peanut butter sandwiches and leftover MREs everyday for lunch (noon chow), and eat chow hall slop most evenings. I figure if I can hold on for these last three months I'll actually have some time to drive and enjoy her. Hopefully I'll be a lot less busy in Pensacola! ;
