I have the Weltmeister, got it from Pelican. It fits under the carpet. I'm in stealth mode!

To adjust the strut, you just turn the adjusting nuts outward until there is a slight resistance. Then lock in place. You are not trying to Preload the towers as this could mess up the alignment.

I just picked up a RUF strut brace off of eBay. I like how solid the tower mounts looked over some other options. I probably won't install in until Spring '06 when I will attempt to install my H&R struts (if I can find a set of matching rears that is).

There has been someone selling nice looking carbon fiber braces in eBay lately for $149 plus S&H. Can't say how durable they are though.

Cool

I got mine from ViperBob (DEVEK):

Can't say how effective it is... I just like how it looks . I wanted a CF part in my car badly!!!

I had to cut the carpet but it was only a small cut on each side.

I got a Ruf one installed by PO (people said it's a Ruf but I don't really know)
It hides nicely under the carpet that I didn't even notice it when purchasing the car...

Patrick,

That looks like the brace I just picked up. The part number is: R64 501 335 01. Is should be stamped in the flat spot of the crossbar.

Do you guys have different petrol tanks to us in the UK?

My fuel sender shown above LHS is right in teh middle of my tank.......gets in the way of a strut brace.......like above.

Mine got the number R64 501 334 00. Maybe the early version.

Kevin,

I had the same problem when I fitted my KLA brace (from ESS). I just rotated the fuel sender 90 degrees and it solved the problem. Have a look on 30th.

Hmmm... mine is R93 501 334 00 - fitted in 1995 by RUF UK as an upgrade of 18" wheels, suspension, front spolier lip, ECU and primary bypass.
I suppose mine is the 993 version......
