Hi Andy, I read your post and need some help with my immobiliser. I have a 1989 964 C4 - removed all sorts of aftermarket stuff - one touch window relays and of course, a crappy alarm system.

After carefully removing the wires and taping them back properly, my car is now refusing to start. It cranks but won't fire. Have tested DME, fuses, unhooked ECU and battery but no luck. I remember hearing a clicking sound from behind the dash when I had ignition on for testing of windows and door locks. This is the immobiliser right?

I have traced and green wires at stereo location and taped them properly. Have checked glove box switch, door light switches, boot and trunk light switches as well.

BTW, I do not have the factory Porsche key fob. Is there any way to bypass the immobilser or to reset it?

Kindly email me at [email protected] please.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
