Question need help with part numbers please

Would someone please check to see if the part numbers are listed for the buttons on the ccu for a 91 C2? I need the demist, ac, and recirculation buttons. Not the whole switch, just he plastic buttons. I am going to check with the dealer to see if they are still available, probably not but worth a try. Thanks, Mark

It looks like Porsche only supply the buttons as a whole unit (i.e. as a switch). What you could do is look on sites that sell aftermarket alloy/carbon fiber interior pieces - I seem to recall seeing just the button bits available.

Yes, the complete switch (not just the unit) is available from the dealer. Simply call or visit the Porsche parts department where they can quickly look up the part for you and provide a quote. Not that I'm not interested in helping out, but I'm certain this is the quickest way to get to your answer.

Those part numbers are for the entire switch units, though, as Joey said.

Eion's advice is well worth checking. I have seen these on Ebay as well as other places. Also, it may be worth looking for a used CCU and swap the buttons. I bought a replacement used CCU only 2 weeks ago for $200.

All right, wiseguy, you're on my list.

As for availability, I picked one up last year from my local Porsche parts department--the one which flicks on the A/C. And just so we're clear, we're talking the whole switch, not just the outer button. They look similar to those window switches, if that helps.
