^Thank you. Will be on a look out for parts. Pelican wants $31/pc for 944 speaker trim pieces.

Sunset Porsche should have them for $25 each, I think that’s about the best price you’ll get. And yes the pricing is obnoxious, typical Porsche.

Visited the birdcage today. Its the easy side but removal of firewall and other parts to get there remain the same. How the front cover slipped off is beyond me. Must have been someone else going in there before.

The driver side airbag sensor line must be disconnected for firewall removal. Make sure it is seated and connected securely after spraying contact spray when reconnecting

Found the brake fluid resevoir over full. May have been my stiff clutch problem. Drained enough out. Clutch feels better. Will continue to drive and enjoy the car.

More tinkering. Installed T locks. Mine is an early car so different from the 993s and later 964s where the lock control box is under the passenger seat. It has decent range which is surprising given the 993 setup under the seat doesn't. Maybe the location?

Also put in a hood latch backup pull in the driver-side wheel well. Will have to understand where the failure occurs to make sure its setup right. Does it loosen at the securing pin or wire clamp? Maybe both?

Beautiful seats! Be sure to update us in your search for the right chip.

@Brig993 So have been playing around with various chips and comparing it with stock map for the past 6-8 weeks. Let me preface it with that my previous 996 was modded with a Farnbacher Loles tune, Fabspeed headers and mufflers. I kept cats stock so torque remain at low RPMs from the back pressure. My 3TT is a stock tune with 200 cell cats and FD mufflers(don't think that does much).

The 964 factory map is quiet. The two different chips I got were Powertech LWFW/sport chip and track chip when they were making and selling them way back when. The LWFW chip gave it a louder raspy sound and perfect for around town without sounding like a racer boy wanna be like all the J/G pipes. The track chip ran like crap(as expected) on a stock setup and smelled very rich at idle.

I will be keeping the LWFW/sport chip. It still will not adapt to the LWFW weight all the time when cold especially when clutching in down and up hill but has no issues when car is warm after 10 min of driving. There will be all kinds of opinions on aftermarket chips after this but this particular chip gives me a low key modified sound which meets expectation. I have no idea what the SW LWFW chip does as I don't have that to compare side by side. Not sure I would spend $500 on a new chip but worth playing with at 1/2 price used.
