gt2 has 460 crank hp is finesse, fully optioned, and full weight car with soft suspension I suspect this 964 will be stiffer and more of like a go kart. I have never driven a 964 cup car if anyone has experience piloting a 964 Cup car please share, thanks

Aluminum intake? I thought all cup and RS engines had a plastic intake. Why would it be alumninum? The Carrera cup website is no longer up but these US Cups below in street and converted trim have a plastic intake.

If I ever consumed the deal I am looking at this shop to bring her back to factory fresh condition Dawe's Motorsports in Stroudsburg, PA (almost 2 hours away from me). Unless there's someone else closer that has a good background and I'm not sure if a Porsche dealer is the right place. Any input is highly appreciated, thanks

Yes, and that's my point, it shouldn't have a cage or Recaros either if it's one of the 20 parts cars. http://newoldcar.com/index.php/207-f...edition-ref-23
If it truly is one of the 20, I would restore it, that's pretty cool.

HUGE DIFFERENCE....This is a "EURO" Cup Car, not a USA Edition Cup. I will reply later with more information on USA Edition Cup Cars. I own #575 pictured above

SHORT STORY....
Out of the 45 cars shipped from Porsche to Charleston, South Carolina, 29 Cars were shipped to Andial (now Porsche Motorsport) for conversion.
Twenty five of these Cars were converted into race cars (including pinned front hoods) aka "Andial Cars"
The remaining 4 cars (aka Parts Cars) were Dyno'd and Sealed. To be used as a spare vehicle if and when one of the 25 cars got wrecked, or if they needed parts. The internal document below (from Andial) shows both my car number 575 and 2swoosh's car number 590.
The remaining (factory untouched) 20 cars were left in Charleston until the cancellation of the race series. They were then shipped to Reno, Nevada (PCNA Headquarters at the time) in addition to all 29 cars that were originally shipped to Andial. The Porsche factory demanded that Andial re-convert the cars back into street trim as was originally delivered from Porsche.
After all 45 cars were back in Reno and held for six month, they shipped one car to the top 45 dealers in the country to be sold as USA Edition Cup Cars (see my window sticker above), with a premium of $13,740 added to the price of a standard Carrera 2. Nearly all were sold within the first few months and the majority were converted back into race cars to be used in various racing venues. There are only a handful of cars (perhaps only 5 or 6) that remain untouched and 100% factory original. I feel very fortunate to have one of these cars.
I'm currently trying to compile a database of USA Edition Cup owners. If you have one, or know of one, please have the owner contact me directly at kecho356@sbcglobal.net
Enjoy the ride!

Wow Chris! your car is a museum piece!
thanks for your input and btw just got a confirmation from a Porsche dealer after decoding the VIN # that my car is a PROTOTYPE CARRERA CUP-USA LT. BEIL ANLAGE whatever that means according to the documents sent this morning with a matching engine number 62N81337.
Now I have to find out whose signature was that, lol and to make sure it won't get erased during the resto.
