Default Question about spoiler light

So today I decided to swap my RS America spoiler/decklid for the stock decklid. I've had the RSA spoiler on since I bought the car, so this is the first time I've had the stock lid on. Thankfully the spoiler seems to function completely fine. What I'm not sure is normal, is that the spoiler warning light stays on when I start the car, but goes away after driving about 25 feet or so. Is this normal operation? Or did I miss something when I put the stock decklid back on?

Pics for attention. Thanks in advance for the help!

Thats normal operation. I think it goes out at 7km/hr.

My car is close to perfect now, but my spoiler is non functioning. A pox on the previous owners who fit after market parts and get rid of the mechanism.

I’m probably one of the few that prefers the look of the air cooled cars without wings. I just love that rear line that is completely unique to the car.

I’m with you MB, I like the spoiler down. I even did the mod so mine stays down until 122kph. Keep the rear sleek as long as possible

I ran mine at the track at higher speeds than that with the spoiler down and noticed no handling or engine temp issues. Maybe it’s more of an Autobahn thing.

The source is “motorizing”. I went back to the thread but the pictures & graphs have gone. Anyways lucky for you I archived the information to a word file.
