A quick cut with the Dremel

Some silicon

And I secured the new cover with the existing lock nuts

Here’s the view from the frunk side

Remove two line brackets, and unbolt the compressor being careful to catch the square lock nuts as they fall

This is the way the engine bay was meant to look

Jim, pulling the front condenser is easy. It's a good time to consider switching the large washer reservoir to the small RS bottle too. But more than anything, you need to do something about those coilovers! I like my KW set, but if I were to do it again, I'd want something like Ohlins or MCS that have an adjustable lower mount so that the strut travel can be centered more easily. Any suspension plans over the upcoming long winter?

Hi Nick,

Thanks, I'm going to have at it tonight with the condenser. I already have the RS bottle installed.

I'm in complete agreement with you on the suspension replacement. The car is downright sloppy and unsafe with the original suspension. It feels more like I'm navigating a boat than a car. I've already begun buying some of the many bits, and this is now the primary winter project. The engine can wait, the car needs this first. I've been very happy with the MCS 2 ways that Steve Weiner at Rennsport picked out for in my 993. I'm going to largely mirror that set-up for the 964 with BBI StreetCup Billet Uprights, BBI Control Arm Ball Joints, RS sway bars, ERP Rear Spring Plates, ERP Camber Plates and all new Elephant Racing sport hardness bushings. Will also add a set of 993 brake calipers. Miles to go, but the process has begun. Race class or no, I'm hoping to close the gap a bit on your 964 at Fort Devens.

I want to follow this recipe so badly! Are you going to the 993 booster/master as well?

Thanks Pete,

After refurnishing the pedal assembly everything works so nicely I really don’t want to mess with it. The calipers are not big reds, just standard 993 calipers. Hoping the 964 MC will do.

Oh man. Deep end.
Tarret drop links?
dont forget 993 abs sensor on the 964 axle and abs ring.
You may want to remove the braise bias valve or change it to a 92+ version
your abs working ok?

To cover up the hole where the AC hoses used to go I used this stock part/lid for cars without AC.
