964 Buyer advice
Been a long time owner of a 997.2 GT3 and now got bit by the air cooled bug. Bought Adrians' buyer guide and have been reading non stop.
So I was wondering, is there anyone in the Tampa/Clearwater area that wouldnt mind meeting up? Want to maybe ride in a 964 and talk to the owner.

You will love the 964, its the perfect balance between modern & classic..i've driven carreras & 993's carrera feels too old to drive daily , 993 feels to modern to give you that classic appeal..964 does the job! I say you should just buy one pronto!

Jetta - Is that Meteor Grey? I love that color so much I paint all my wheels that color.
Yea, I really think I am going to love this car. Been PM'ing with Boosted. Just want a car with character. I have enough speed with my bike and the GT3. And just always loved the 964.
If anyone knows of a black on black for sale PM me!

Will definitely call when they open. I’m on the East Coast.
I know now it may be splitting hairs, but I’ve read late 91’s - 94 are the years you want to buy. Correct?

You are referring to the head gasket issue. Mid way through MY 91, porsche fixed a design flaw by adding the gasket. If you’re looking at a 91, you can tell if the engine is the corrected one or not by the engine number. I can’t recall which engine numbers started with the fix, but it’s on rl somewhere.

You should NOT let that deter you though, because most cars out there have had this fix done by now. A good ppi will confirm any issues..so don't miss out on a good deal on a 1990 just for this. I've had 2 1990's i sold and neither of them had any sort of extensive leaks or issues
