Default Wossner Pistons for Hybrid Stroker Build

Hi all, I'm looking at a Darton sleeved block with 104 bore and Wossner Pistons made for 2.5 stroke crank, and wondering if I can use the pistons with a offset grind crank and the DSM rods. Can't find any info on the pistons W4240 markings.

Thanks in advance!

Are you saying the Wossner Pistons are a stock 944 piston?

Yes I believe they are for stock crank and rod length, but the seller wants to sell the pistons with the block so I don't know if I can use them on a hybrid stroker build or not.

I think not. If it works with 2.5 crank in 104mm block, that is same configuration as NA 2.7. Increasing stroke will need pistons with higher pin location.

Yes that makes sense after I thought about it, thanks for the responses!

No reason whatsoever to pay the Wossner price if you're going sleeved.
Just find the closest SBC piston that will fit...104mm is just shy of 4.125" and there are lots of SBC pistons in that size.

Yeah, but Darton sleeving is much more expensive and also deals with the open deck issue.

Maybe you can sell the Wössners?

I heard back from the original builder, the rods and Pistons are set up for 3 liter crank, but there are other factors that make me think I'll pass on it.
