Everyone is free to build their engines how they want, who am I to say not to spend 10k on 16v head to achieve 500rwhp It's just in my opinion (that is based on experience on several 944 16v turbo engines) it is silly and even for track you don't need to spend 10k on 16v head. But to each his own..

Regarding usable power, I already mentioned it. If you have 3500-7000rpm powerband, how on earth is this 100rpm range? My math tells me it is more like 3500rpm powerband

The Supra had 100 rpm power band. The point I was trying to make is power under the curve is more important than a peak figure. Unless all you are looking for is bragging rights.

My final goal is a usefull car, i want 500whp, but as you say, powerband is important.

Around the "Ring" needs powerband, thottle respons and driveability.
