Building a new 500whp engine, have some questions.
First, sorry for not searching all around the forum.
Im going to build a 500 whp 951 next winter.
It will be used on trackdays, Nurburgring etc.
When do i need to sleeve the original engine block?
What do you guys do witt the Intercooler? ( it's getting 3" inn and out + new end tanks this winter)
What's the pros/cons on 2.5L vs 3L.
I will probably end up using a GTX3582 Turbo.
1200cc injectors.
EMU Ecu (going in this winter)
951 Gearbox with LSD.
4" Lindsey exhaust is on the car.

If you have an hp target I wouldn't necessarily pre-empt / buy the components before you have a full understanding of what you need to achieve. To run 500whp with one of our motors at the 'ring ie under a lot of full boost, will take more than just building it for the street or even short sprint events.
Search under JET951 and refresh951 usernames amongst others. But 500whp at sustained periods of full boost will require more than bolt ons...so to speak. 8v or 16v would be my next question. Closely followed by estimated co$t$ ??? To stay with 8v will possibly require more money in the long run. It's not a simple question to answer.

Budget is around 10 000 usd.
I want to stick with 8v since i have plates on the car.
The fuelsystem, injectors etc will be changed.
How much boost/HP do the original block hold?
My car has been 350whp sinsce 2007 ( vitesseracing kit, smt6, stage 2 turbo )
Thanks, i will search them

You don't need to change engine for 16v conversion, just head and pistons (951 pistons can be modified). 944 S head will fit on 951 block.
Search for raceboy's build thread.

Check out the 3 Liter Registry sticky above and study the many build threads here. Most of your questions are huge topics with long mega-threads here, and don't lend themselves to simple answers.
I'm sure every guy here who has built his own 500rwhp car spent hours and hours studying and planning -- there's really no getting around it unless you pay someone else to do all the work (which comes with its own risks for sure). The great news is there is a ton of great info here for anyone serious about a project like this, and when you start getting down to the specifics of your project you will have no shortage of opinions and advice!

buy a running S2 engine, grind the crank to fit off-the-shelf 5.7" chevrolet inline-6 rods bored out to fit the porsche piston pin, have a 3.0 16v with 7.2 compression ready for mega-boost and 0.200" deck clearance so non-interference...
everything else is just details

500 whp in a 2.5 or a 3L will cost you probably 30k for those conditions.
It's a bit more complicated than just bolt ons.
Like others have said. do a lot of research. There's enough info on here to have an understanding on what needs to be done.
