Yes, It is a Michael Mount 3.2 Liter motor with Darton sleeves, 13.5-1 compression, MM cams, bigger intake and exhaust valves, Pauter rods, dry sump, and ITB's.
We are using 360MM full floating front rotors with 997 GT2 calipers, 330MM full floating rear rotors with 997 cup calipers. Custom Fuel Cell, Modified Kokeln rear torsion bar delete. 18x11 Kinesis wheels. 67" APR GT 250 wing, full CF splitter and belly pan with rear diffusor.
Our goal is to be between 2000-2100lbs

Sounds Epic Max! Was the hood designed originally for the V8 conversion? Can't wait to see/hear the results of the MM killer motor!

Wow, very nice!
Is the body from Disasterman?
Do you have more pics of the front without the CF body?
2000/2100lbs weight is an impressive target for a 944.
Awesome work!

Chipboard interior shop walls in back ground of engine pics = at Paul L.'s shop still...?
And the green doors......, well, those already have an internet presence...
Looking good.
I was kinda preoccupied and missed your call after that long train text group message. Didn't recognize some of the recipients but boy, if the couple of cats I didn't have names show up for the cell numbers are your friends....they sure were kinda brutal....
Stopped by Paul's twice in the last two weeks killing time. Gonna send heads up next trip so you can meet up if you are close.
If engine is still there I wanna touch those throttle bodies...

Looking forward to how you are mounting up the fuel cell and which one you are using.
Kyle (Shieman Composits) made the molds from my fiberglass parts. Kyle also built all of the original molds and did the shaping for the V8 L88 style hood. His parts are stellar.

Jim,
I have a custom Fuel Cell, I will send some pictures when I mount it in the tub.
The Fuel cell does saddle the transaxle. Additionally Kyle Schiemann has been great to work with on all the CF Parts please feel free to contact either me or Disasterman for references. Kyle has completed the CF Roof skin. He is also working on CF doors, 968 style rear hatch trim, belly pans, CF rear lexan window supports and numerous rear diffusors configurations.
Hopefully this week we will start mounting the Dry Sump Oil tank in the passenger footwell area.
Additionally I will finish making the firewall hole plates and get them welded in.
We are 95% finished with the seal welds and stitch of the tub.
Ordered the 1.5" Chromoly tubing to start on the 12 point cage

Max did you opt for the carbon hood like Jim's for the V8 because it's already made or are you going to stand the motor upright or some other reason?

Patrick,
I was going to have to put a hump in the hood in insure clearance for the ITB's and Air Box that I am using. I am also going to be adding heat extraction vents similar to what I did on my V8 car along with installing a frontal P2 vent for the radiator.
