Is that automotive clearcoat or just polished epoxy resin on the skin ....?

Got my hoop done a few days ago too, just the one required diagonal though..., saved 6.8 lbs.

Patrick,
The motor is pretty much done except for the Motec, Trans is complete, need to finish cage and paint.
I am about to purchase the Quadruple Adjustable JRZ's and OMP Carbon Fiber Seat.
I will keep you all posted.
PS: T the roof has had UV Urethane Clearcoat on the Carbon Fiber Resin Roof, super light.
The CF doors should be here within the next couple weeks

Well, I can vouch for 1 thing in this thread.

Max' trailer is A1.

He wouldn't even let me get a dirty fingerprint on one of his screwdrivers.

And that was to help him with something on his OWN car....

I DO believe that this smaller dia. X brace in the back is so long a run it's gonna play sounds like a woofer tho...,

T,
Thank you for the compliment. You are always welcome to use my tools and spares.
As always thank you for your help.
Just no hammering on my new Matco Screwdrivers. This project is going much slower than I would like.
I did pick up a nice small heel type drift.

Mr. Max are your CF parts made with urethane resin or epoxy resin? I only ask because I was told by a gentleman that make aircraft parts (feather light in Ukiah,CA) that making CF parts with urethane is no stronger then using fiberglass and will shrink up to 10% from when it was in liquid form. However I was told that CF used with epoxy resin shrinks only 1% and is 10 times stronger then using urethane resin with fiberglass or CF. And that CF and epoxy resin go hand in hand for the best outcome. However it's super messy and hard to work with and very very pricey.

Is this deja vu....?

Did I just see the same black cat walk through the scene twice..?

Has the code of The Matrix just been altered...?

Default fiberglass resin is Polyester not polyurethane....

With the one piece halo as opposed to side bars making up 50% of it clamped up there pre-weld, it looks like he called you to give final judgement before welding it in.

Those front bends look shallow and long but from one angle it looks ok.

What did you think for head clearance when you saw it in person...?

Thumbs up or rethinking...?

BTW - I wonder what this guy's neighbors think when he rolls this thing out into the sun to work on it....

Dave is about to send the spare 968 tub for the burn/dip and I'm going to start bending a kit for the cage to make it go faster one we get it back and primed.

Gonna be counting on that spare roof skin because off comes the roof right off the bat after I make two door opening braces to keep the chassis true.
