Resurrecting an '88 turboS; left in storage for 13 years: eek
Friend of mine has entrusted his '88 Turbo S for me to bring back to life.
"Something happened" mechanically or electrically back in 2003 where it died & after trying a couple of things, the car was placed in a storage unit until 2 weeks ago where I took possession to get it going again.
After belts (all), oil, gas, fluids, verify decent injectors/fuel delivery etc, I can crank it: I get a strong injector pulse signal and tach bounce, but no spark. I'm thinking at this point it's probably the factory alarm module, but can't seem to find it's location on the net, although it appears I found instructions on how to bypass this (to verify failure) once I find it.
I know the 87-88's had one module, where the '89 was different...but what about & where is the 88 module?
Thanks for any help, Mark

No Pictures yet: it's a Silver-Rose (optioned) 944TS with full Burgundy leather interior (odd).
Thanks Lart, didn't see it there: just the plate, KLR, & DME. I'll look again tonight.
I'll check the coil too: thanks for that, have not Ohm'd it out yet: What should the range be if you know off the top of your head?

yeah, saw that & took some notes but it appears my module/harness are not there or have been moved. Will remove the glove box tonight & see if it's been relocated. :/

I removed the stock harness on my car, and found nothing of the sort with regards to an alarm. Not saying all cars are the same, but my 88 TS did not have anything.
