Default Turbo Expansion Tank

I have a small crack in my coolant expansion tank and it is yellow in any case so it is time for a new one...

I saw that the turbo specific expansion tank has steeply gone up in price in the last few years, probably due to limited supply.

The NA coolant tank seems identical in shape and just missing the water port for the turbo pump if I am not mistaken and it is less than half the price.

Is it possible to get the NA one and just have a T connector coming out of the single port for both water pipes?

Is there another idea on how to get something that will work well and look reasonable without paying $300 for a plastic tank?

Haha, we have ourselves a good old-fashioned inverse auction going on!

I splurged for a new one for mine a few years back (I think it was $250-ish at the time). I know that it is a lot for a piece of plastic, but it is an important piece of plastic and will last another 25+ years. Also, it really makes the engine bay look a lot better, and you can actually see the coolant level!

I did the same last month . Was thinking about going second hand but glad i bought a NEW tank. They are not cheap but like you say if they last 25years its not such a bad deal.

Thanks for the advice.
After reconsideration, I think I will invest in a new one.

Yes I also bought a new one. After 30 years it dresses up the car a bit. On another car I have the Lindsey polished tank which also looks good and allows for a larger cold air filter/ intake.
